The All-New 2013 Buick Encore Is Here!

I’m not sure we have been this excited about a new model’s arrival since maybe the ever popular, Buick Rendezvous?  We were expecting the first sightings of the Encore to be at the Auto Show in February so you can imagine how excited we were to see three new Encore’s come off the truck this past Thursday!

Expected to compete with the Volkswagen Tiguan, BMW X1, Nissan Juke and Mini Countryman, the Encore gives the Buick brand five vehicles in its portfolio.  It is powered by a 1.4L ECOTEC 138-hp turbocharged engine with variable valve timing and it offers an EPA-estimated 25 mpg city, 33 mpg highway and a combined EPA-estimated fuel economy of 28 mpg with a standard 6-speed automatic transmission.

The Encore ranges in price from $24,950 for the basic model to $28,840 for the premium package.   Considered a small crossover, the Encore still has plenty of storage space; fold-flat seats and 48.4 cubic feet of cargo space.

The Encore is equipped with the Buick IntelliLink which is a voice-activated, high-definition system that connects your smartphone, your Pandora and SiriusXM stations, and Stitcher SmartRadio, all through the 7-inch full-color touch screen.  There is also a USB port and  Bluetooth connectivity. Technology is definitely the name of the game with the Encore, other available features include:

· Remote Start

· Rainsense Wipers

· Rearview Camera system

· Memory Seats & Mirrors

· Front Park Assist

· Rear Park Assist

And Encore takes safety to a whole new level with 10 air bags standard and available features such as Forward Collision Alert, Lane Departure Warning and all-wheel drive. All of this combined with great Buick standards like StabiliTrak and OnStar, give Encore a comprehensive safety story.

The All New 2013 Buick Enclave

The Buick Enclave is the top-selling three-row luxury crossover SUV in the U.S. market so one would think, how can the best get better but it has!  The 2013 Buick Enclave has been updated with new styling, more standard equipment, added safety technologies and IntelliLink connectivity.   2013 Buick Enclave

On the exterior of the new Enclave, you will notice new LED daytime running lamps and LED-accented taillights which add to the design and technology.  Inside, the new ambient interior lighting adds a cool Ice Blue glow to the cabin.

Dual-flow dampers at the front of the vehicle are among the Enclave’s chassis refinement advancements. These new components provide a smoother ride and improved handling by controlling suspension dampening across a broader range of driving conditions.

The 2013 Enclave offers three different equipment groups but they all come standard with a seven-inch Color Touch radio with IntelliLink, high-intensity discharge headlamps, Rear Parking Assist, a Rear Vision Camera, remote start, a power liftgate and other luxury features. Every 2013 model also comes standard with the industry’s first front-center air bag, which is designed to protect drivers and front passengers in far-side impact crashes.

Enclave offers seven or eight passenger seating choices with no added cost for either. Additional options vary among equipment groups, but all Enclave models can be equipped with all-wheel drive, navigation, and a trailering package.

“The original Enclave was a catalyst for the Buick, defining the brand’s high standards of design and refinement,” said Tony DiSalle, vice president of Buick Marketing. “The new 2013 model takes another step forward with a bolder look and advanced technologies.”
